Halloween Excitement

This was a good weekend. Lots of knitting, lots of not leaving the house, great weird fun on halloween.

I wove in ends on my father's christmas gift. All that's left is the front bands, zipper, and seaming. That's it, easy peasy. So I'm working on a hat instead. As I have to pick up stitches, and I don't like to, even though it's been made easier.

As for Halloween, it started on Thursday. I picked DaBear up from daycare, where he got a new annoying squeaky toy (shaped as a candy corn) and a super cute peanut butter dude.
Friday was spent knitting with Genypher and eating chowder. I love me some Duke's. Friday night was...well...an experience. My dear friend Courtney has been working with a theatrical company called Pure Cirkus (now 4 Horseman). I hesitate, for only a minute, from calling it a freak show, but it's a good way to describe it. There were fire eaters, and knife wielders, and people who bend re-bar with their body parts (some of them wince-worthy), and burlesque girls, and a girl on girl suspension (which sounds dirty, but isn't). For those who don't know, a suspension is where someone inserts hooks into their body and then hang from the hooks. The girl on girl action is one girl with 8 hooks, hanging from another girl with 8 hooks who has 8 more hooks and is hanging from a bar. I put together a photo collage of the crazy good fun.
Click to en-biggun. It'll enlarge as one entire image. The suspension might be a little disturbing.

I discovered a new TV show, Fringe, and have been catching up on episodes. Reminds me a little of X-Files, but not aliens...kind of crazy science. And it's got Pacey from Dawson's Creek (and the Skulls, never watched Dawson's Creek).
