In which she shows she's clever

No pictures today, just a story.

I realize that a lot of parents think their kids are the smartest ever.  I don't have a lot to compare Lara's cleverness to, not having been around kids her age, so to me, she seems really clever.  Maybe I just find it fascinating that she's able to put logical steps together.  Who knows.

This weekend we finally had some nice weather, where it was dry, sunny, and warm enough to go out walking, so Lara spent a lot of time outside.  We walked along the front sidewalk, and I took her on a field trip to the local garden store.  We had been at home for awhile, and were waiting for dinner to finish cooking.  During this time, Lara had free range of the house and was wondering about.  She toddled from her room into the dining room, carrying a sweater with her, and passed my dad and I and went into the kitchen, where she sat on the bottom step of the up stairs.  She then held up her coat to T, but wouldn't let him do anything with it, he called me over, and she held it up to me, and let me put it on her.  Then she got off the step, walked to the backdoor, and starting knocking on it.  Essentially saying 'Ok Mom, I got my sweater and put it on, we can go outside no'.

Then this morning, she was holding both her binks in her hand as we were walking out of her room after getting dressed.  I told her she was only allowed to take one bink with her, and to decide between froggy and giraffe.  She looked at them for a couple minutes, then pointed to her crib, and when I walked over, she tossed the frog in.

My daughter, she's connected some dots.  We better watch out.
